PFTP's Covid-19 Precautions
The safety of our staff and volunteers is our number one priority at Portland Fruit Tree Project — we are making changes to our programming to ensure the following safety protocol:
PFTP requires that all volunteers eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine be fully vaccinated and willing to show proof at our events if asked. Volunteers not eligible for the vaccine (ie, youth under the age of 5 or highly immunocompromised folks) are still welcome at the event and are highly encouraged to wear their mask for the entire event.
Every person at our events is required to bring and wear a face mask when they arrive at the event — including children. You must bring your own properly fitted mask (fully covers nose and mouth and is snug around the edges).
If you are bringing youth who are not eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, you are fully vaccinated with a suppressed immune system, or you are not eligible for the vaccine, you are at greater risk according to the CDC and state governments — and we encourage you to wear your mask for the full event. Please make the personal decision for mask-wearing that is best for you and your community’s health.
Respect physical distance and space yourself at least 6’ from others outside of your household.
Please bring your own water bottle and any other snacks or beverages you may need.
If anyone in your household has felt unwell within two weeks prior to your event, please cancel your shift.
As information develops, PFTP reserves the right to make other safety requests of volunteers following government health official recommendations. We will always tell you with as much notice as we’re able of any changes we are requesting.
All of the PFTP staff are currently vaccinated and boostered.
If you are uncomfortable for any reason volunteering with PFTP during this era of Covid-19, please know we understand and hope you return when the time is right for you.
