Will you be our Fruit Bud?

It’s always an exercise within a nonprofit to name our recurring (monthly) donation programs. What will really tell the story of what consistent and reliable community support can do for our ability to do the work vs. just fundraising to afford to do the work?

For us, the idea of a fruit bud - or the POTENTIAL - really hit home. Without the fruit bud, there just can’t be fruit, but with it, we can reap the communal rewards with a little pollination - and, as very busy bees, we’re really good pollinators.

There are a lot of ways that nonprofits raise the money it takes to do our work, and we’re hard at work diversifying those strategies to build our operational sustainability. To date, we are writing grants to seek funding for all of the great programs we’re working on, we’re doing the fee-for-service tree care work that we hope will blossom into a program that can support other community based work, we do two fundraising campaigns each year to ask you for your support, and we have this recurring giving program. The recurring program is by far the most reliable, consistent, and foundational support that we have, and what gives us the surety that you are with us on this journey.

We know there are a lot of places that you can devote your resources and are honored that you’re interested in learning more about being one of the Fruit Buds that makes our production possible.

PERKS!

Isn’t life just a little sweeter with a cherry on top? We sure think so! For the added commitment that you make becoming a Fruit Bud, we’ll make sure you get quarterly updates with the best inside scoop on what PFTP is up to, we’ll invite you to Fruit Bud only opportunities, you’ll get invited to sign up for workshops and seasonal tree care before the general community (these tend to sell out!), and any time something fun and limited pops up - we’ll think of you first.

For the Spring Appeal (April 2022-June 2022):

  • Every donation made (monthly or otherwise) gets you entered for a pair of Jack Johnson tickets for his sold out show at Edgefield!

  • The Ohana Foundation will match all donations up to $2500!

  • Join as a new Fruit Bud and you’ll also get a super cute bamboo gift basket with lots of treasurers from Bambu Home!

Each “basket” will be unique and might actually be a bag… cute floral tablecloth for display purposes only.

TL;DR: Fruit Buds bring the fruit to the yard - join now, get fun bonus perks.
