Black History Month Virtual Happy Hour

VIRTUAL HAPPY HOUR ALERT!

Thursday, February 18th from 6-7pm we embark on a journey with three amazing BIPOC organizations, Equitable Giving Circle, Happiness Family Farm, and Feed the Mass to celebrate Black History Month.

Equitable Giving Circle is dedicated to providing impactful and individualized care to the community. They run a CSA program, focus on housing stability and equity, and provide several options to support Black-owned businesses including Black History Month curated gift boxes and plant exchanges. We will hear from their executive director, AJ McCreary.

Happiness Family Farm, located on Sauvie Island, was started by Rosata Hezumuryano who moved to Oregon in 2007 from Tanzania with her family. Read more about their story here.

Feed the Mass is a nonprofit cooking education organization that started in 2016 by Jacobsen Valentine. When COVID-19 hit, Feed the Mass began serving free meals to thousands of Portland residents.

We are excited to celebrate Black excellence and strength vs. using our platform to highlight the many traumas felt by the Black community and often highlighted during this important month.

We’re honored these groups are spending their valuable time with us and hope you can join us to learn more and support these organizations.
