Workshop Contribution & Cancellation Policy

1. To participate in one of our workshops, we ask that you make a contribution in the amount specified for the particular workshop (usually $25). If you are a PFTP registered tree owner, you can attend our Tree Care Workshops free of charge. We also have a limited number of scholarship, partial scholarship, and work-trade opportunities available for each event.

2. In order to hold your spot in the workshop, contibutions must be received at our office within three business days of registration. Contributions can be made in the following ways: (a) register online and submit your payment through the online registration system via Paypal. (b) mail a check to: Portland Fruit Tree Project, 5431 NE 20th Ave, Portland, OR 97211. (c) contribute online through our website at, and include something in the Notes field about which workshop the payment is for. (d) deliver cash or check to our office (address listed above) Monday – Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm). If you choose this option, we recommend calling ahead in order to verify that we will be here. (e.) call the office at 503-284-6106 and we can take your credit/debit card info over the phone.

3. If we have not received your contribution within three days of receiving your registration, we may have to move you to the waiting list and register another participant. We will notify you if this happens. If we receive your contribution after you have been moved to the waiting list, we can hold your contribution until we know if a spot will open up for you. If a spot does not open for the event, we can register you for another workshop or count your contribution as a credit for a future workshop.

4. If you have already contributed for a workshop and need to cancel, you must notify us at least 3 days in advance to receive a refund. If you cancel less than three days before the workshop, we cannot refund your contribution but we can give you a credit to attend a future PFTP workshop.
